What is Reflexology?

 

Reflexology is a method for activating the healing powers of the body.

 

It is a therapy that treats the whole body through the feet. It is based on the discovery that there are points on the feet which correspond to all the parts of the body.

 

Special pressure techniques on these “reflex areas” in the feet, along with gentle massage supports deep relaxation and balance.

 

How Does Reflexology work?

 

Reflexology induces deep relaxation in the body and mind. As an estimated 75% of ill health is stress related, reducing stress and anxiety, through relaxation, is a great contributor to wellbeing and health.

 

We live in a busy world where our sympathetic nervous system is often over stimulated to allow us to get many things done. This can lead to anxious, busy minds that find it hard to switch off, poor sleep patterns, poor digestion and exhaustion.
